It was on my 21st birthday when I first looked back & envisioned my entire life. I realized that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let me down, in fact DID. I’ve had my heart broken several times and it was broken harder time after time. I laughed, I cried, and I shared many unforgettable moments with my two best friends, only to watch them reject me as part of their lives. I have blamed a new love for things an old one did. All I could do was ask myself; why did I waste so much time? On that day in which I was born 21 years ago, I saw the faces of the individuals that I love and have lost to the heavens above. My only wish at that moment was for them to look down upon me and tell me they are proud of whom I am. It was then when I decided to take too many pictures, to laugh too much, and love like I’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds I spend upset, is a minute of happiness I will never get back.
